What was the best movie of 2008? The worst?
I don't think I saw any movies in 2008.

What is the one word that perfectly describes your day today?

Relaxing
I have many different types of things on my walls. My decor is so much different than most. It is because we have so many antiques from grandparents who were missionaries to China, and so many other items that are from around the world. What you might like to see is the dining area where we have trays on the wall. Or maybe you would like to see some of the jewelry hanging in the livingroom. Or maybe the Japanese dolls and plate on the mantle. OK.
Two trays are antiques from China or India and one tray is from Turkey.
Jewelry is from China.
Dolls and plate are from Japan. We hosted some Japanese exchange students when they were in high school.
Would you rather be rich or famous? Why?
Submitted by Chris Vaughn.
I think this is a double edged sword question. If I were rich I could give more money to people who need it. If I were famous I could tell more people about Christ. But if I were either rich or famous would I get into the same problems that many of the rich and famous people do? If then what good would it do to be either rich or famous? I am happy being the way I am and doing the things that I am able to do with what I have been given by God grace.
We had a good week in Stresa, Italy in the foothills of the alps. We were on a beautiful lake and the climate was very nice. Even though we were so close to the alps there were palm trees growing there and even a couple of banana trees. We did get to Locarno, Switzerland for one day, and went into Milan, Italy. In Milan we saw the third largest cathedral in the world and we also got to see the painting of the Last Supper. We saw several other churches and lots of frescoes painted on the walls. The streets are very narrow in most of the little towns because they were built many years before the automobile. It was funny when we went to Locarno on the highway because every time the bus met another vehicle of any size there was a very slow passing. Usually only inches between them. The edge of the road went straight up on one side and striaght down on the other. The little roads in the towns were mostly one way and only had small cars travel on them. There were a lot of cobblestone roads. Very interesting.
We went on the short cruise four nights. We left from Miami on Monday and were at Nassau on Tuesday. We went to Coco Cay ( a private island on Wednesday). On Thursday we were at Key West. On Friday we arrived back at Miami. In Nassau we went to a beach called Blackbeard's Cay. It was a really nice beach for the kids. We found chairs in the shade, and near a small playground and also close to the water. Tuesday the Coco Cay beach had lots of shells in it so the kids didn't really like it as much. All of us adults had a good time snorkeling though. It is a great place for it. In Key West we let the kids stay on the ship in the morning while we walked around looking at stores. They had a great time cooking with the team that was watching them. It was too hot walking around that Jill and I came back to the ship while our hubby's went snorkeling. We had a quiet time while the girls napped. It was a very good week.
Besides yours, who do you think deserves "The Best Mother in the World" award?
Submitted by Connie.
Both of my daughters. I can't pick between them. They are different, but both great moms.
What are you most looking forward to this weekend?
